Scheduling/First Visit

Scheduling

We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you are in pain or in an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you the same day.

We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your wait. We always take our time and spend as much time as is needed to ensure successful treatment of every patient. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Please call us at 910-485-3636 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

First Visit

Depending on what your dentist requested on the referral form your first visit will be scheduled for a consultation only or for actual treatment.

Either way in your initial appointment the endodontist will do the proper testing and take appropriate X-rays to diagnosis your tooth and fully explain your treatment options. In most cases we treat your tooth at this first appointment.

More complex cases, as listed below, will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.

  • retreatment of an old root canal
  • surgical cases
  • challenging diagnostic cases
  • patients with a complex medical history or treatment plan

Please assist us by providing these documents at your first appointment:

  • Your referral slip
  • Any X-rays your dentist provided you with
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary cards. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, history of heart attack or stroke, rheumatic fever, etc.)
